BOHEMIA SEKT becomes Pilsen – European Capital of Culture 2015 project partner

Pilsen, 7 January 2015 – The CEO of BOHEMIA SEKT Ondřej Beránek and the Director of Plzeň 2015 Jiří Suchánek today signed a partnership agreement at Meeting Point on Republic Square in Pilsen. The agreement makes BOHEMIA SEKT an official partner of the Pilsen – European Capital of Culture 2015 project.

BOHEMIA SEKT sparkling wines and Habánské sklepy, Víno Mikulov, Chateau Bzenec and Vinařství Pavlov still wines will be served at major receptions and other events throughout the project.

“We see 2015 as an extremely important year for Pilsen. As a company that is an integral part of the Pilsen region, we have therefore decided to take our long-running partnership with the city of Pilsen and the Pilsen region to a new level and support this unique event, which the European Capital of Culture certainly represents for Pilsen. We also want to show visitors that Pilsen, besides, of course, being the beer capital of the world, also produces premium sparkling wine,” said BOHEMIA SEKT CEO Ondřej Beránek.

“Our aim is to showcase Pilsen as a cultivated, modern and hospitable city. For the full cultural experience, it’s vital that we serve great beer, local ‘Chodský koláč’ cakes and Czech gold in the form of Bohemia Sekt. I’m sure Bohemia Sekt will be a sought-after drink at our receptions and other events, because the European Capital of Culture and Bohemia Sekt brands are a superb match,” said Plzeň 2015 Director Jiří Suchánek commenting on the partnership.
